Dear clients and patients, by now you will all be aware of the public health threat called coronavirus or Covid 19.
In keeping with the rapidly evolving COVID-19 crisis and in compliance with Dr Henry’s directive we will be closing temporarily and will not be seeing any clients for cosmetic procedures or consults. We remain available by phone and email for any questions you may have. We are also able to ship skin care products or make suitable arrangements for pick-up as needed. Keep safe!!
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared this a pandemic. Any responsible health care facility needs to take this seriously.
The Director General of the WHO highlighted 4 key areas:
PREPARE AND BE READY
To this end we are ensuring extra efforts around learning and educating ourselves about the outbreak and the required responses from the public health agencies in Canada. Making sure we have adequate supplies like hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies and masks available.
DETECT, PROTECT AND TREAT
Although we are not a frontline primary health care facility- it is important to be aware of situations that require follow-up and investigation:
If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing AND you have travelled within the last 14 days to an affected area (China,Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea) or have been in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of Covid 19 AND there is no alternative diagnosis – you should be tested and you should not present to the office for any treatments. Please see your primary care physician or an urgent care facility immediately!
We are undertaking meticulous cleaning and sanitizing procedures of all working surfaces, door handles and frames, floors and of course equipment.
- No unnecessary body contact such as handshakes or touching.
- No touching of face.
- Frequent handwashing.
- Proper cough etiquette.
- We encourage all of you to comply with the universal precautions to reduce spread as well.
- If you are coming to an appointment do not bring excess friends and family members who are not having treatments and do not bring children – they are unduly exposed to risk and are themselves a potential source of infection to others. We all need to be SMART and VIGILENT to do our share to reduce risk.
INNOVATE AND LEARN
This is an ongoing goal as we learn more about the virus. Remember this is a problem we ALL own – we can chose to ignore our responsibilities and suffer the consequences or to join forces and help defeat the onslaught.
Whilst we don’t think many of the patients and clients we serve will be in a high risk category, it is imperative and relevant for us to take this time to reflect on the importance of prevention at ALL levels! Let us look out for each other….
We look forward to serving your aesthetic needs safely!
